Likardia is a New Zealand start up created by two sisters, Amanda and Miriam, based off the river banks of the Waikato Awa. With separate backgrounds in Finance and Fashion, they’ve teamed up to explore what’s possible when they champion each other, family and their natural God given talents.

The signature ‘Roll Top Bag’ is a keepsake accessory that can be personalised with a name making them great bridal party gifts, wedding favours and travel/honeymoon sets. It’s the first of several bags to be designed and launched here in NZ.

As a brand name, Likardia draws inspiration from Lidia of Thyatira; a purple textile trader of ancient Greece who seamlessly bridged between commoners and high profile nobility alike. Lidia was additionally known for her hospitality and soft heart. The word “Likardia” blends “Lidia” with the Greek word “kardia,” meaning heart, symbolising the heart within Lidia. Her legacy embodies distinction in entrepreneurship and her love of all people of all backgrounds which are foundational heartbeats of the brand.
