I’m Matilda, the proud little creator and owner of Em & Elle Weddings.

I started Em & Elle because, well, I love love. I think there’s magic in piecing together all the little moments that make up your big day! And that’s what we aim to capture for you as your wedding photographer. The magic in all those in-between moments, the stolen glances, nervous giggles, belly laughs and dance floor antics. We aim to document the full story of your day, with all its vibrant colours, people and emotions.

My team and I have over a decade of photography and videography experience; our love for the craft stemming from humble beginnings in landscape photography and surf films. Since then we’ve worked on TV commercials and international environmental documentaries, capturing everything from breathtaking landscapes to heart-pounding action. But whilst honing our skills, we realised that in everything we do, it always comes back to the people – to connection. Being able to capture the love from your wedding day and share this with you – that’s really what it’s all about! We are based in Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty, but will travel far and wide across Aotearoa to join you on your special day!
