Hi there!

My name is Ilse de Klerk/Ilumography and I am a lifestyle wedding photographer. Originally from South Africa, I am happy to call New Zealand my home now. I am based in Cambridge, Waikato but I love to travel to the ends of the earth, or wherever your love story takes us.

For many years I couldn’t find a suitable name for my passion. I had to sit and think what my work is all about and it turned out the answer was really easy. My work is a combination of God/love and light. I had to move halfway across the world to realise it. Now I can’t imagine any other name for my business.

After doing this for more than a decade I can honestly say I’ve got my dream job and living the dream daily. My goal is to capture the moment where you can look at the photo afterwards and feel the love by looking at the photo. I get inspired (aka loud, high pitch voice 😉) when I’ve got a couple in front of me and the love is tangible. My second goal is for you both to just have the best time being in front of the camera, because I sure am having fun behind it and I can’t have all the fun 😉

If you don’t know how to pronounce my name, that is okay. I’m used to people calling me anything and everything else. But in case you want to get it right, try Ill-suh 😉
